Krewe of Jefferson
On a clear Tuesday afternoon March 6, 1973, the Krewe of Jefferson came alive and twelve truck floats paraded down Veterans Highway through a large number of spectators. Today the Krewe of Jefferson has seventy-five truck floats with over three thousand members yearly. The krewe has no set rules for themes, and will often honor individual celebrities as much as local favorites. The Krewe of Jefferson is unique in that so many of its members generate a diverse selection of throws specific to the krewe itself.
