It is the mission of the Rivertown Repertory Theatre Guild to provide the highest quality theatrical productions in a season of musicals and plays that foster a high quality of cultural life in the community, maximizing the impact of art for all patrons and fostering an understanding of art’s value with future generations through educational endeavors, while providing a cultural outlet for serious artists who desire to further develop their discipline.
The Rivertown Repertory Theatre Guild is a nonprofit community theatre operation providing a season of plays and musicals on the main stage and a season of plays and musicals on the children’s stage for families, educators and school students. The Rivertown Repertory Theatre opened their first season in 1988.
Since the opening of the Rivertown Repertory Theatre twenty-one years ago, the Theatre has enjoyed tremendous success. Theatre patrons from a five parish area are now making the choice to come to Rivertown Repertory Theatre. Patrons from as far away as Texas, Mississippi, California, New York and Canada come to see the programming at Rivertown Repertory Theatre.
