Devin Meyers, founder of Fotos For Humanity – a non profit organization created in November 2006, is a native of Charleston, SC.
Devin became a self-taught photographer after traveling the world through college programs in Cuba, West Africa, Brazil, and Mexico. Over the course of these travels, the idea of Fotos For Humanity and volunteer photography was developed. He began coming to New Orleans to provide volunteer photography services after the storm. In July of 2007, Devin immigrated to New Orleans where he now continues the volunteer photography work of Fotos For Humanity. He is also a 5th and 6th grade social studies teacher at a public charter school in New Orleans.
