Stephen Dale

Stephen Michael Dale (born 1990 in New Orleans, Louisiana) a New Orleans jazz musician and vocalist; from an early age Stephen Dale followed the rhythm of his grandfather (Paul Ferrara Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee) a famed jazz drummer playing with the likes of Louie Prima and Al Hirt.

At the age of twelve Stephen experienced his first Broadway musical at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans (Phantom of the Opera). There he found an unlikely hero\mentor in the Opera Ghost whom inspired Stephen to begin vocal training.

At fifteen he was accepted into NOCCA (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts). At seventeen he performed at the Hudson Theater along side Gary Mauer (aka The Phantom) at a New York City Fundraiser for children with facial differences.

Initially Dale’s voice was trained strictly for opera and classical music but has evolved into a musical style that is uniquely his own. In 2007 he was awarded a vocal performance scholarship from Southeastern Louisiana University were he trained under the direction of Dr. Stephen Rushing.

In 2010 Stephen continues his vocal training. He is the percussionist in South Eastern University’s jazz band. A park ranger for the New Orleans Historical Jazz Park in the world famous French Quarter.

In Jan. 2011 Stephen enrolls at the University of New Orleans to continue his music studies while singing for the Jimmy Maxwell Orchestra in New Orleans.
