William Bowling

William Bowling is a writer, performer, musician and scholar residing in New Orleans. He holds a B.S. in Speech Communication and Performance Studies from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and a M.A in Performance Studies from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In New York, Will has performed at the Public Theater, the Kitchen Theater, Brooklyn’s Galapagos Art Space and Greenwich Village’s Judson Church Dance Theatre. In New Orleans, he has co-written and performed in GRP’s Whatever Just Happened…, The Messe Papers, and Our Man, and has composed original scores for GRP’s Calculus of Hope, Major Swellings Salvation Salve Medicine Show, The Don Effect, and is currently working on a score for GRP’s original fall production, The Future is a Fancyland Place. Will teaches for GRP’s educational program PLAY/WRITE, teaches theater and music arts integration for KIDsmART, and works with the National Performance Network.
