French Market Fare: Demonstration with Vom Fass

The name VOM FASS is German and literally means “from the cask”.VOM FASS, your one-stop shop for the foodies in your life, offers premium culinary oils and vinegars, liqueurs and spirits from around the world. Denise Dussom, co-owner of VOM FASS, will present “Oils & Vinegars 101.” Her discussion will focus on the basics of oils & vinegars and describe their many uses. As an added treat, Denise will be cooking up Fleur-de-Lis Pasta Salad with Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil for you to sample.
Every Sunday at 2 PM, the French Market Corporation and the Southern Food and Beverage Museum will team up to host a series of free programs that highlight the cuisine and culinary culture of New Orleans. Expect to see cooking demos, food conversations, and musical entertainment throughout the year at the French Market Fare stage in the Farmers Market, located between Ursulines and Governor Nicholls Streets.
